Food for Thought

A few years ago we thought we would join a CSA(Community Supported Agriculture) group for a number of reasons - reduce packaging, eat locally, eat better and eat more cost effectively.  We have been with Eatwell Farms CSA since then and it has helped us meet all our goals and then some.  Each week we receive a box of great organic produce and we can also order organically grown wheat to make our own bread.

Eatwell Farms also has many members only days during the spring, summer and fall when you can visit the farm and take advantage of even more fresh produce.  The tomato sauce parties are our favorite, where we make up batches of sauce and can them right there at the farm - can't get fresher than that!

Nigel and Lorraine are great hosts.  During the solstice sleepovers, guests awaken to fresh brewed coffee, farm-fresh eggs and tortillas for breakfast.  These feasts are usually accompanied by strawberries members can pick that morning.  What a treat!
